MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2024 Jan 02 Observer(s): M. Sitaram & N. Melso Institution(s): Columbia University Instrument: CHaS Worked for 8 hours (part of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 2:30 until 3:30. Beg: Cirrus, Winds Calm Mid: Overcast, Winds Calm End: Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Opened late around 9 PM due to high humidity and some technical issues with computer connection to instrument. Mostly clear until 2:30 AM when we closed with Kitt Peak due to threatening clouds. Reopened around 3:30 AM to clear skies and collected great data on 2 galaxy targets.
