MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2024 Jan 14 Observer(s): Thorstensen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1. arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Cirrusy at start but they appeared to clear off well (using all-sky camera). Windy at start too, but those died down nicely, and the night was quite good. The mirror cover opened normally and the GUI indicated the petals were all up. The dome shutter is making a bit more of a racket than I remember toward the top of the travel, with a more rapid tak-tak-tak like a gear slipping, but I'm not certain. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2024 Jan 15 [12:45:36]
