MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2024 Jul 09

Worked for 7 hours (most of the night)
Conditions were Mixed most of the night.
Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details.

Seeing and Weather:
   Rain from 20:00 until 21:00.
   Beg: Seeing 2 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable, rain
   Mid: Seeing 1.8 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate
   End: Seeing 1.6 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable

Observing Summary:

Observed targets for Shu. Night started out iffy with threatening
clouds and a bit of precipitation closing me down for an hour.
Then went fine until about 2:45am when the RA seemed to jump
about 1 arcsecond after tracking for a while. I tried to 
continually do the same target and monitor it, and it seems to not
be a creep but an actual jump the causes me to lose guiding.
