MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2024 Jun 03 Observer(s): Justin Anderson Institution(s): MDM Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 10 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: No problems at all tonight. Observed targets for Fesen, Shu, and Jules. Seeing was pretty good, and clouds were not really an issue even though present. Dome: Dome did really well tonight. When I slewed to my first target, the dome was off ~4 degrees on the tcs monitor. When I went into the dome it did not seem to be off much if any at all. Rest of the night it kept up with the telescope and I did not have any issues seeing out of the shutter. One thing I will mention is the dome would move to ~1-2 degrees past the telescope Azimuth with each movement. Can't remember if that is normal or not. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2024 Jun 4 [5:29:27]
