MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2024 Jun 10 Observer(s): John Thorstensen & Justin Anderson Institution(s): Dartmouth (and MDM) Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 8 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 2 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: A really lovely night, with just a little cirrus around at first that dissipated. Seeing improved to a bit under 1 arcsecond at times, once we got things focused correctly. The dome did hang while tracking once, this time near about 30 degrees azimuth. Justin and I were both there so he got to hear what it sounds like and saw how to correct it. On the very last object I had a really strange issue setting the telescope, described in trouble report. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2024 Jun 11 [5:17:54]
