MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2024 Jun 12 Observer(s): Thorstensen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 6 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable End: Overcast, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Patchy altocumulus and other mid-level cloud rolled in before sunset - the sunset was red, likely due to smoke. Kitt Peak never opened, but I didn't think it was that bad, and there were some good clear intervals in which I got some good data. Around 2 AM the clouds got more consistently bad and the satellite images were not encouraging, so I closed up for the night. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2024 Jun 13 [3:09:33]
