MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2024 Oct 27

Worked for 3 hours (first half of the night)
Conditions were Photometric most of the night.
Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details.

Seeing and Weather:
   Beg: Clear, Winds Calm
   Mid: Clear, Winds Calm
   End: Clear, Winds Calm

Observing Summary:

Sky very clear but closed when I ran into several problems.
Telescope jumped 5 or 6 times tonight, 3 times within 10 minutes.
At 8:30 pm, lost upper right portion of the CCD. Contacted Eric
who suggest cable attachment was lose. this fixed the problem.
But returned at 10 pm and although I worked on it for 30 minutes
the problem persisted. As I was beginning a work around of the
missing CCD section, telescope jumped again, losing tracking.
Tried some more on the cable issue but then gave up.
