MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2025 Aug 16 Observer(s): Luis Salazar Manzano, Ed lin Institution(s): Michigan Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 7 hours (first half of the night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: High Humidity from 3 until . Beg: Overcast, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Clear, Winds Moderate End: Clear, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: We were completely covered by clouds up until 8:20 pm local time. We opened the telescope after that as the clouds were slowly disappearing. We had photometric conditions for pretty much the whole night after. However, around 2 am local time the relative humidity was increasing on top of jumping by significant amounts. We closed the telescope when we noticed it was getting close to 80% at ~3:00 am. We also noticed what appears to be condensation in some of our last images that were taken close to the Moon. Once we closed the telescope, we launched a sequence of flats and used Nitrogen to clear the CCD window, which was clean in less than 5 minutes after we started the process. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2025 Aug 17 [5:26:08]
