MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2025 Aug 17 Observer(s): Luis Salazar Manzano, Ed lin Institution(s): Michigan Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 2 hours (first half of the night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 9 until 1. Beg: Clear, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Overcast, Winds Light & Variable End: Fog/Low Clouds, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: The night started a bit cloudy but it was improving as it was getting darker. After 8 pm, conditions were excellent for ~1 hour, however clouds started to cover all the sky, and we did not have any other alternative as to close the telescope. By around 1:30 am, conditions were improving, but when we attempted to resume the observing we could not open the mirror covers. We tried different solutions but it did not open, which means that we lost the remaining of the night. This issue will be detailed in a trouble report. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2025 Aug 18 [4:24:52]
