MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2026 Feb 20

Worked for 4 hours (last half of the night)
Conditions were Mixed most of the night.
No equipment or software problems were encountered.

Seeing and Weather:
   High Humidity from 7pm until 1am.
   Beg: Overcast, Winds Calm
   Mid: Clear, Winds Calm
   End: Clear, Winds Calm

Observing Summary:

Thick clouds at the beginning of the night which cleared by 10PM, 
and very high humidity which lowered slowly through the first half 
of the night. Opened the dome around 1:30AM but mirror covers 
wouldn't open from the GUI. Realized the west mirror cover was 
covering the other petals and fixed it by slewing all the way to
the west and nudging the cover open with a broomstick. Started 
observing around 2AM -- weather was nice and we collected some 
great galaxy data with the new filter.
