MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2026 Mar 13

Conditions were Mixed most of the night.

Seeing and Weather:
   Clouds from 12AM until end.
   Beg: Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm
   Mid: Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm
   End: Overcast, Winds Calm

Observing Summary:

First night of March CHaS run, using new OIII filter for observations of good galaxy target. First half of night good weather, disrupted by clouds and leading to early end of night.

We noticed that the RA tracking seemed off from sidereal, leading to drift when not actively guiding. Guider also showed signs of needing to correct for that.
