MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2026 Feb 19

Worked for 2.5 hours (first half of the night)
Bad weather most of the night.
No equipment or software problems were encountered.

Seeing and Weather:
   High Humidity from 12AM until .
   Beg: Cirrus, Winds High
   Mid: Patchy Clouds, Winds High
   End: Fog/Low Clouds, Winds High

Observing Summary:

During the day, changed CHaS to the O III observing mode and 
put in the new O III filter. The O III commissioning work took 
until about 9 PM. Opened the dome and took some data of a couple 
nebulae and galaxies through a layer of clouds and strong wind. 
Closed a little before midnight as cloud cover, wind speed, and 
humidity increased. Telescope and spectrograph performed well, 
and I am excited to get more data with the new filter!
