MDM Trouble Report for 2001 Dec 18

Problem(s) Encountered:
First the exabyte drive on Vesuvius didn't recognize a tape
and wouldn't eject it. I tried switching the drive off and
back on again. This was not a good idea, because when trying
to get the status of the drive with mt, Vesuvius crashed and
didn't respond to anything anymore. Contacted Arlin and after
disconnecting fiberoptic cables from camera, reset the computer.
Then master half of 8K didn't work, but after rebooting 
Vesuvius properly everything worked fine again.
