MDM Trouble Report for 2001 Oct 22

Problem(s) Encountered:
Chichon seem to entirely freeze up once every 24 hours at
least. It refuses input and so halting the system doesn't 
work. I had to turn off the computer and then on again.
Waiting a little or long while doesn't seem to matter. It 
is NOT loose cables as suspected yesterday. I had to
attempt rebooting it several times before it finally
surfaced. Does anyone have ideas as to what the problem 
is and how to solve it.?
I am not running more stuff on chichon than 
needed, and power and keyboard cables are secure. When
rebooting, the screens glitch as if it would turn on but
nothing further happens and screens stay black. It took
about half hour to get it back online.

The dome went funny at some point, refusing to move with
telescope, so had to `home' it and reset the encoders. I had
to do that twice before it coorporated.
