MDM Trouble Report for 2002 Jan 6

Problem(s) Encountered:
At the beginning of the night, on running 'runinit' on 
prospero, it reported that it couldn't talk with the IC
computer.  Restarting caliban and prospero produced the
same problem.  Rebooting the IC computer (whether by
ctrl-alt-del or hard reboot) produces a
        Hard disk(s) fail (10)
error, accompanied by a less than healthy sound within the
IC computer box itself. 

No work tonight, a pity since it's clear and dry.
