MDM Trouble Report for 2002 Jan 7

Problem(s) Encountered:
With Jerry Mason's guidance, I replaced the IC computer
(whose hard disk died) with the spare from the 2.4m.  By
process of elimination, there is now a problem with a
faulty fiber-optic cable -- the one without the red electic
tape that connects to the IC computer.  I played with the
connections several times between the IC and the head electronics,
with no luck.

Otherwise, the replacement IC computer seems to work fine.

It's still a beautiful night outside...
