MDM Trouble Report for 2002 Oct 30

Problem(s) Encountered:
A set of four 300sec exposures was interupted and the following error message 
appeared in the detcom window (in red):
   TDL failed to get any response
When I typed flush I got the following error:
   Can't communicate with 1st timing board; not downloading DSP code
                              utility                          
                          2nd timing              
                              utility             
   Need to have code downloaded and power on; clean failed

Then I typed  pof  and I got a very similar error but it did turn the 
instrument off.  Then I cycled power and closed the detcom window and 
restarted everything.  When I restarted the detcom window I got the same 
errors listed above plus some new ones:
   wrmem with mask failed because rdmem failed
   WRM command to 1st utility board failed

When I would hit enter I got this error:
   TDL failed to get any responses

At this point I tried cycling power and restarting the detcom window 
various times, but it did not help.  And when I typed pon the 
instrument did not turn on despite the error messages.  

I also checked the cables at the back of the instrument to make 
sure they were properly attached.
