MDM Trouble Report for 2002 Sep 21 Telescope: 1.3m Observer(s): DePoy & Marshall (Ohio State) Instrument: Echelle Problem(s) Encountered: When we first started observing, the guider would move the guide star out of the box every 5 minutes or so. The frequency of malfunction seemed to decrease in about an hour, though after two hours we still have to bring the star back into the box manually every 15 minutes or so. It seems to be worse right after a move to a new telescope position. The star mostly moves out to the north, but sometimes to the south also. The east-west tracking seems to be fine. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2002 Sep 22 [6:05:15]
