MDM Trouble Report for 2002 Apr 17

Instrument: Diesel generator

Problem(s) Encountered:
Main power lost at 18:45. Generator failed to start. Probably battery was not charged.
We started the generator by using a jump to the pickup with help from Jules Halpern. 
By this time the UPS was drained. The generator did not appear to properly recharge the 
UPS which registered error message 14 (end of battery power). No observing time was 
lost as the humidity was too high to open the dome.
