MDM Trouble Report for 2003 Mar 12

Problem(s) Encountered:

Guider having trouble guiding.  It has 
been letting the star slip out of the box to the East, even though the counts
are high (~4000) and the sky is in the optimal range (~50).

When I press the  set  button (w/o pressing a directional button)
the telescope slips West fairly quickly.  We are at hour angle ~1:30,
and dec +27.  

The tracking has also spontaniously given out three times
during this time.  Moving the telescope a bit seems to fix that
