MDM Trouble Report for 2003 Nov 7

Problem(s) Encountered:
I tried setting the filter to filter 5 (LG505), and got an 
error that said approximately *HI* and caused the prospero 
window to freeze up.  I eventually figured out what this meant 
(this is not documented anywhere obvious), but when I finally 
got the filter back to filter 5 instead of displaying  LG505 
as the filter id (which is what it says in the print filter 
menu), it said  25*] , where the * is not * but some other 
strange character.  Is this an error message or is just the 
name of filter 5 somehow confused?

Also, moving from filter 4 to filter 5 seems to always give this 
*HI* error.  Is this a known problem?
