MDM Trouble Report for 2003 Sep 25 Telescope: 2.4m Observer(s): Crotts (Columbia) Instrument: Mark III Problem(s) Encountered: I think the nitrogen purge didn't succeed in clearing the CCD window, which explains problems #1 and #2. 1) The response versus wavelength for the spectra look strange, with a big dip between about 5000 and 6000A. (Is there a filter in the lightpath?) See the plot of the standard star exposure (ccd.065) on chichon. 2) Is there a lightleak, or is the quartz lamp not turning all of the way off? See Neon lamp exposure ccd.068 displayed on chichon. 3) The z key on the chichon keyboard doesn't work. (I can write a z only using a cut-and-paste. I can't do a control-z at all. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2003 Sep 26 [6:33:44] NOTE: This trouble report replaces the previous report for 2003 Sep 25
