MDM Trouble Report for 2004 Dec 8

Problem(s) Encountered:
The DAT tape drive /dev/nst0 stalled (for 3 hours) in the middle of 
writing a tape. I was unable to ^C out of the write and the process 
was not listed as a running process so I couldn't kill it off. I 
couldn't find any nice way of killing the process, so I removed 
the tape from the drive. Now, the tape drive is considered  busy 
and I cannot access it.
