MDM Trouble Report for 2004 Jan 15

Problem(s) Encountered:
[This trouble actually occurred on the 19th -- I back-dated
it because the software (stupidly IMHO) refuses to allow more
than one trouble report per night.  Is there a good reason for
this or is it just because of code-borrowing from the observing
reports?]

While I was trying to deal with the runaway dome problem, I
somehow managed to put the TCS in a state in which it could
not finish setting on objects -- instead of settling it would 
sit in a set/guide loop with the star oscillating back and forth
by maybe 30 arcsec at maybe 1 Hz.  Powered down the TCS as 
per lightning shutdown and re-started it, and everything was
fine (except the dome, which is evidently still not working).

Just spoke with Bob about the dome problem; since the dome 
problem is highly non-fatal he isn't coming up to fix it on 
his day off.  Fine with me!
