MDM Trouble Report for 2004 Jun 24

Problem(s) Encountered:

The instrument rotator appears dead, as if the power to the
system were off.  I looked at the fuse in the control box,
it looked OK to my untrained eye.  The rotator is fairly 
important to my scientific program (but not absolutely 
needed as for e.g. Monique Aller's program).

The N mirror petal hung on the sky baffle.  I freed it by 
gently tugging on the baffle with the telescope pointing far
south.  

Not a 2.4m problem, but Hill got flaky and died on us at the
1.3m.  We can workaround with the laptop if necessary, but it
would be good to have that tape drive!  The electrical short
yesterday brought down Hill, but my students report it was 
flaky beforehand.
