MDM Trouble Report for 2004 May 11

Problem(s) Encountered:
I wasn't able to zip my files anymore and in the morning also 
unable to make backups. The machine seems to be thinking it's 
dealing with ascii-files while IRAF is still able to display 
them normally. During the night IRAF also suddenly quit without 
any reason and I had to start it again. Maybe a 
system-instability causing the trouble?
