MDM Trouble Report for 2004 Nov 9

Problem(s) Encountered:
At the beginning of the night, there were some problems with
the TCS: the date on the monitor was frozen, the hand paddles
to control the telescope were not working (both control room
and dome), and there was no communication between the TCS and 
the detcom.

After switching off and back on the TCS power supplies in the
printer's room, the date came back, and the communication between
the TCS and the detcom was reestablished. Furthermore, I was now 
able to use the hand paddles to move the telescope in the N-S 
direction, but not in the E-W (!?) After playing with the switches
on the TCS and the hand paddles for a long while, the 
situation finally came back to normal.
