MDM Trouble Report for 2004 Oct 10

Problem(s) Encountered:
Wavelength setting for grating :
    Ar lamp with big feature around pixels 150-300 almost
    across whole range of columns.
    Set-off between actual center wavelength and assumed center wavelength
    coming from red (night before) to the bluer part : roughly 250 Angstrom.

Dome : had to be rotated several times manually since evidently had lost track of position.

TV guider : screen ---> no activity at all for whole night !!
Slit viewer : same behaviour for first couple of hours, then slight 
              'recovery', but still only objects brighter than 15.5 mag
              'detectable' (with good will and considerable guessing), however : 
              problem seemed to get better with time and in the end rather normal
              behaviour

At times : close watch of humidity necessary as we approached 72% (at the wall instrument reader).
