MDM Trouble Report for 2005 Feb 15

Problem(s) Encountered:
Kilauea crashed with the error of asynchronous memory fault.
We had to restart IC and WC.
When we restarted, Caliban did not come up.  After following the procedure set up for a cold boot by Marianne Vestergaard, we were still having problems.

A call to Bob Barr with further instructions solved the problem:
If you restart everything like normal (e.g. IC, WC, Prospero, and Caliban), but Caliban won't sync, then try taking a short exposure anyway.  then runinit, with dummy parameters, finally type startup in prospero.

That seemed to solve the problem, and we could then runinit with the real observing parameters for the night (not that we got to observe since it was cloudy all night...).
