MDM Trouble Report for 2005 Jan 6

Problem(s) Encountered:
Shutter failure from the midnight to 1:30 am (local); shutter
was failed to close.

You can see the trails of bright stars at
/data/tambora/visitor/shutter_failure.fits
which is the characteristic feature when the shutter was not
closed when the CCD was read out.

Tried [shutter close] command several times; did not work.

Injected dry nitrogen to MIS in the hope that it can remove
any fronzen H2O around the shutter; the outside temperature
was around -1 degree in Celsius.

After 1.5 hours, shutter started to work, and so resumed
observation without any trouble until the dawn.
