MDM Trouble Report for 2005 Jun 28

Problem(s) Encountered:
Two glitches:

1) CCD electronics lost it during first integration of the night;
  error was 
     ccd_aread: wrong aio finished; expected 0.  This is bad.
     *** Error encountered in asynchronous read, data suspect
     Failed, error code = 0, elapsed = 2.023000 
  
  The cure was simply to push the red reset button on the 
  camera electronics, type  df echelle , re-enter the format
  numbers, and go.

2) On two occasions the telescope glitched during setting; the
  symptom was a 30-arcsec oscillation in RA over a roughly
  2-second cycle time; I could hear the drive engaging and
  disengaging.  The cure was to hit the soft  stop  button in 
  xtcs3, move the telescope near the object with the paddle,
  and hit  go  again.  This does not appear to be a mechanical
  problem with the drive, and is clearly distinct from the 
  more serious jump-and-stall issue that occurs with
  temperature changes.  This looks like a software issue.
