MDM Trouble Report for 2006 Aug 23

Problem(s) Encountered:
I tried pointing the telescope to a bright star. after several 
attempts to repoint the telescope to a bright star (and not finding anything) 
I called Sebastien Lepine for help. On pointing the telescope to a crowded field, 
he noticed that when the guide probe was placed at it's 
 center  position no stars were visible on the guider camera. When the probe 
was moved to an off axis position a whole bunch of stars were visible (we checked 
that Retrocam was in the  Out  position). It seems that the finder mirror does 
not move out completely.
