MDM Trouble Report for 2006 Jul 6

Problem(s) Encountered:
  Dec Encoder Not Responding 
I tried to align on a bright star, and when the control system tried to slew to the object it seemed to get stuck.
HR6267 RA 16 43 DEC 77 36.  What's funny is that it wasn't the dec that was moving at the time.  
The RA kept alternating between 16 39 and 16 46 and wouldn't stop until i told it to.  
The error message came up in the telescope contral system display.
At this time i had to close the mirrors because the high humidity levels in the dome.  
I've been noticing that the XTCS telescope coordinate system hadn't been slewing to exactly where the imput coordinates are.  
It will be off by a couple of minutes RA.
