MDM Trouble Report for 2006 Mar 25 Telescope: 2.4m Observer(s): Finke, Shields (Ohio University) Instrument: CCDS Problem(s) Encountered: During the afternoon we encountered a problem with some of the arcs and the flatfield lamp, which resulted in a broad spectral feature (resembling an accretion disk profile?!). Problem occurred with the 350 grating centered at 4250 and was visible in the flat, Ar, and Xe, but not Hg. The feature appeared at columns 829-890 and showed some evolution in morphology when grating was tilted, but no significant shift in columns. The feature went away when we shifted to a center wavelength of 4600. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2006 Mar 26 [6:17:52]
