MDM Trouble Report for 2007 Apr 18

Problem(s) Encountered:
The pointing was off enough at the beginning of the night that I
couldn't find my first bright star.  I went to zenith and set the
RA/Dec encoders there.  But I forgot to set the display epoch
back to 2000.0 after I set the encoders using the current epoch.
I was quite lost for awhile.  But Bob came to the rescue and 
helped me figure out what I had done wrong.  Thanks Bob!  We 
fixed my problem and the pointing was good for the remainder 
of the night.

One small thing too: when using the hand paddle to move the 
telescope in the control room, using the West button 
occasionally won't move the telescope.  When I pressed Set a 
little before pressing W, it would start moving again.  I don't 
think this is really a problem, but in case it has happened 
before and gotten worse, perhaps you guys would like to know.
I think this only happened for the first few hours of the 
night.
