MDM Trouble Report for 2007 Feb 20 Telescope: 1.3m Observer(s): Kay (CU) Instrument: Templeton Problem(s) Encountered: 1. pointing more off than usual at beginning of night 2. shutter stopped working at ~9:45 PM. No shutter heard on `sh op'. Bob talked us through manual toggle of switch at telescope and then it worked 3. dome encoder drifted more than usual 4. CCD heated up. (didnt remember utility command at first, just guessed from pattern on CCD). We had filled at 5:30 PM and then did another fill at 1:30 AM. Seemed like low pressure in tank. Ed Moran came by around 3 AM and got the other tank onto platform and we filled again with that. Older tank has wobbly regulator. Fill-up worked better with new tank and CCD cooled down again... 5. going to Jules' object, dewar started STREAMING/POURING out at -1 21 HA, +25 41 Dec. Did we have an earlier CCD dewar dump- we didnt hear it pouring out like that but maybe it did and thats why it heated up. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2007 Feb 21 [6:53:16]
