MDM Trouble Report for 2007 Jan 14

Problem(s) Encountered:
1. Numerous instances of filter wheel getting stuck while stepping
UBVRI in order.  But now, it is clear that it gets stuck ONLY
in going into or out of position 3, or  V  filter in this setup.
Almost always when going from 3 to 4 ( V  to  R ).
Is that possibly a clue?  At least now I am aware that there is a
filter wheel reset function in the setup window of the MIS,
which performs well.  That's more convenient than re-intializing
the entire MIS.

2.  Once, the dome encoder jumped from 202 to 160 degrees when
being rotated from the control room. Could static electricity
be transmitted to it through the hand paddle?
