MDM Trouble Report for 2007 May 22 Telescope: 1.3m Observer(s): Atlee & Peterson (OSU & OU) Instrument: CCDS Problem(s) Encountered: The CCDS cryogenics system appears to be losing coolant. The Dewar was filled at 1620 on the afternoon preceding observations, and by approximately 2AM the temperature readout on the CCDS box had begun to rise, and by the end of the night had reached -80C. A similar problem occured previously, but was dismissed as human error, specifically I assumed that I had not filled the Dewar all the way. On this occasion, we are quite certain that the Dewar was filled correctly, but the warming trend nevertheless began earlier in the night. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2007 May 23 [5:31:48]
