MDM Trouble Report for 2007 Sep 7

Problem(s) Encountered:
At about 3:30 am the humidity dropped to reasonable leavels and the 4m opened.
After setting up the telescope, opening dome, removing baffle etc. we slew from zenith to 03 02 39.03 - 18 53 54.
While moving the dome, there was a loud screaching noise like something was stuck in the track, but there was no incident.
At this point, a loud banging noise at regular intervals started in the vicinity of the electrical box at the base of the piers.
This was accompanied by a buzzin noise somewhere on the other side of the dome.
We figured out that it was the guider making this noise, so we turned it off and the noise stopped.
Since we were doing 30s exposures it didn't really matter.
