MDM Trouble Report for 2007 Dec 26 Telescope: 2.4m Observer(s): Tobin and Zhu (Michigan) Instrument: TIFKAM Problem(s) Encountered: At the start of the night we were unable to align the pupil mask of TIFKAM. The xpupil command did not work, however, ypupil did work, but the mask was offset in the x direction. In the prospero command window under Pupil Mask: there is X=* , the asterisk is red, while Y=0. xpupil reset did not work. Also, we were unable to focus the guider while having TIFKAM focused. The focus of TIFKAM was about 6390 throughout the night, but the guider could not be focused unless the telescope focus was at about 6500. Due to this issue we could not use the autoguider and were limited to short integrations. Finally, when using the offset commands within prospero (e.g north xx, east xx) sometimes the telescope would move in two directions when only one movement direction was commanded. We could not find a pattern to this occurence, it seemed random. We were typically using offsets of 10 - 20 . ------------------------------ Submitted on 2007 Dec 27 [4:28:56]
