MDM Trouble Report for 2007 Nov 8 Telescope: 2.4m Observer(s): J. Prieto and L. Watson (OSU) Instrument: OSU Problem(s) Encountered: 1) The dreaded CCDS bias pattern reared its ugly head again. Tony helped us clean some connections before he had to leave, but that didn't help. We then changed the position of the HE power plug in its power strip and that somehow got rid of the problem (this worked for Jason before so we tried it too). 2) The telescope seemed to be drifting East while we were taking sky flats more than normal. But we're not sure if this is the case or if we just haven't realized it before. Actually neither of those caused us to lose any time. We lost about 15 minutes when we realized that the CCDS slit was E-W when we needed N-W. We rotated the instruments and continued on. Ooops! Hopefully the data before the switch will still be somewhat useful. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2007 Nov 9 [6:01:26]
