MDM Trouble Report for 2008 May 19

Problem(s) Encountered:
At 21:20 or so, the IC lost connection.  

TIFKAM/CCDS monitor says IDLE    OFFLINE

Prospero says  Exposure started 

Caliban says, instead of as for a normal exposure
IN: IC>AL STATUS:  MODE=OFFLINE
IC>AL STATUS: MODE=OFFLINE IC=DISABLED
*Pending REQ SWAP ACK timeout, retry 1*
OUT: CB>IC REQ SWAP

and so on, 3 retrys and failure.  IC monitor in back room said 
various things indicating failure.  I searched the manuals, 
somehow failed to see how to restart the IC without hurting
anything, called Jason, who suggested I type  stop  on the IC.
At  s , the monitor went blank, and the lights on the keyboard
flickered--it restarted.  TIFKAM monitor indicated normal 
startup.  

Typed STARTUP in Prospero (after appropriate cleanup from the 
ctrl-C I had to use to get out of the failed image start) and
everything is once again going smoothly.
