MDM Trouble Report for 2008 Nov 3 Telescope: 1.3m Observer(s): Schroeder and Halpern (Columbia) Instrument: CCDS Problem(s) Encountered: The lack of a pointing map made acquisition of targets at times painful. Twice we had to rezero the telescope at zenith because the telescope was too far off to find a guide star. The ACS system crashed three times: once as a Type 1 error (that doesn't require a computer reboot) and twice as a Type II error (which does). Instead of restarting the computer from the Start Menu, we depressed the power button on the computer to save time. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2008 Nov 4 [6:37:55]
