MDM Trouble Report for 2008 Apr 15

Problem(s) Encountered:
I started off with a bright star near zenith, and after several
minutes the dome was still rotating.  I saw (outside) that it had passed
the correct position and was continuing on.  I shut it off
from the TCS box and then returned it to azimuth 320 manually
and reset the encoders.  I then started it up again and it did
the same thing.  I noticed that the dome azimuth position on
the TCS screen was not updating.  After talking with Bob, we
found that the encoder would update if the dome was going to
lower azimuth but not higher.  Bob had me check some cable
connections but they appeared okay.  For the rest of the
night I ran the dome manually.
