MDM Trouble Report for 2008 Jan 5

Problem(s) Encountered:
Not real trouble, I don't think, but when I was closing the dome for the night, 
it started making a really loud crackling/humming noise immediately after the main shutter closed. 
It seemed to come from the top (zenith) of the dome. I reopened and closed again a few times, 
and the noise has definitely died down a lot but there is still a significant hum from the dome tracks, 
and I can't remember if it was there before. It doesn't sound too threatening anymore, 
and I reckon it is probably preferable to leaving the dome open,
so I am leaving it like that, but maybe you can let me know if this is normal behaviour?
