MDM Trouble Report for 2008 Sep 4

Instrument: echelle + buckeye

Problem(s) Encountered:

For a time early in the evening, the telescope absolutely would
not respond to the E/W paddle buttons.  True at both set and 
guide rates.  N/S were fine.  Offsets from CCDCOM worked fine.
The guider was fine.  Therefore I could work around by sending
offsets to get the guide star in the box, then guiding. 

Button pushes did register on the TCS monitor (lower right) while
the problem was occurring.  So the paddle buttons were 
apparently fine -- the problem was somewhere else. 

Later, it cured itself!!  Go figure.
