MDM Trouble Report for 2009 Jul 4

Problem(s) Encountered:
At the start of the night the dome was behaving as if it had a mind of 
it's own.

On a couple of occasions the dome would not stop rotating, with the TCS 
complaining that the dome encoders were not reponding. 

I brought the dome back to az=320 on both occasions anbd reset the encoders.
On slewing to the next object a new problem arose. This time the dome 
would move immediatly to follow the telescope; however, the TCS would not 
update the dome az until after it has rotated ~ 40-50 degrees.


This problem occured on every slew for about an hour, again the dome
was returned to the home position and the encoders were reset, after doing 
this a few times the dome eventually returned to normal functiong.

Wierd!
