MDM Trouble Report for 2009 Jul 7

Problem(s) Encountered:
I encountred both the guiding/tracking problem as well as the dome problem again tonight.

The guiding and tracking both became unresponsive at various times, with the tcs 
reporting the ra/dec to be in GUIDE2 mode. I was able to fix this by 
aborting my exposure/dither sequence and then manually dithering the telescope back and 
forth, i.e.  5 south, 5 north or 5 east, 5 west
At some point in the above sequence the ra/dec would return to the regular
guide-track/idle mode.


The dome encoder became unresponsive at the end of the night, I zeroed it once which didn't 
solve the problem, as it was at the end of the night I manually positioned the dome for skyflats.
