MDM Trouble Report for 2009 Sep 4

Problem(s) Encountered:
We had trouble starting CCDS after lightning shutdown.  When starting
Prospero, it gave an error saying it couldn't sync with Caliban.
We eventually by fixed this by rebooting IC in some sequence,
probably multiple times.

Then later, after we had been functional for a bit, hiltner
froze while trying to use skycalc (ssh'ed from agung).  We
rebooted hiltner and got the same problem as above in trying
to start CCDS again.  This time we had a lot more trouble
starting CCDS.  We again eventually fixed it by multiple
rebootings of IC and also of hiltner.  We spent a long time
doing this, about an hour.  It seems the various documentations
of starting CCDS/IC/hiltner are not consistent with each
other.  It would be helpful to have a single document that
describes the procedure.  Especially if rebooting hiltner
is necessary multiple times, since it is very slow to boot.

Also, the movie mode of CCDS does not stop reliably.  When
typing stop movie, it does not stop.
