MDM Trouble Report for 2010 Mar 16 Telescope: 1.3m Observer(s): Grier & Bentz (OSU) Instrument: 4K Problem(s) Encountered: When taking sky flats in the evening, in two of our images, the lower right quadrant (the entire thing) was saturated when it should not have been. We ran a bias frame, which came out OK and seemed to fix the problem. Again in the morning, there was one image where three of the four quadrants saturated and the 4th quadrant only had around 4000 counts on average. The frame afterwards was fine, indicating that the saturation was not in fact real, and seems to be some sort of readout problem. Because this only happened for a frame or two, it wasn't a big deal, but we did use up some of the short time in which we can take sky flats trying to figure out this issue. Other than that, everything worked fine. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2010 Mar 17 [6:21:02]
